Malta - October (this is not an official HSAC trip)

Georgia, Liz, Caron and Gillian are looking at an inexpensive week's trip to Malta the week of the 9th or 16th October for 7 night (6 days diving) in the Gozo region. Estimated costs to be between £210 - £230 (inc unlimited air and shore diving, villa accom with pool, transfers, car hire) + flights which are currently around £160 with Air Malta. Diving will generally be restricted to Sport diver and above - although non-diving partners could be welcome too. Anyone with interest get in touch with Gillian (gillianfbell at hotmail.co.uk) asap (before 11 May 2010).

Training Nights

Mickey has kindly agreed to act as Rescue Training Manager for the club, and will be running a few rescue training nights over the coming months. These will be open to all members, and will be a good opportunity to refresh the rescue skills you learned in training in realistic rescue scenarios, but in a safe environment. You may also pick up a few new skills (e.g. use of ropes & knots).

If you have any ideas about things you would like to see included in these training nights, please let Mickey and Georgia know.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Lindy who passed her Ocean Diver exam and Georgia who passed her Practical Instructor Exam.
